Myth 2: My hearing loss doesn’t seem severe enough for hearing aids. I can wait without doing any harm.

Fact 2: If your hearing loss has occurred gradually, your condition may be worse than you realize. Hearing difficulties cause problems at work, in social situations and at home. Hurt feelings, misunderstandings and frustrations arise. Emergencies even result because someone didn’t hear a critical message or warning. Sadly, a person with an unaided hearing loss will tend to withdraw from family, friends, and activities he/she once enjoyed. Not only does the person with the hearing loss suffer but loved ones also endure a spectrum of difficult emotions.
